All about reprocessing
|
Reprocessing is a major process making possible to do some economies while recycling materials.
On the other hand, it is necessary to keep a certain judiciousness and not to get
anything. I always disadvise thus recovering steel. Your will never know really the nuance
and in this case, how to get the maximum from it?
Certain information could be redundant below in the two
chapters. Indeed, I made a a little arbitrary classification:
(1) What you can get, (2) Where you can get.
What you can get
Here a small list of what it is possible to get easily:
- Blower : Hair
drier, "engine" of vacuum cleaner, blower of boiler.
- Anvil : Railroad rail (ask the maintenance service
in station), matrix for casting (dustbins of the companies).
- Oven for tempering :
Small oven for single person (a score of euros in secondhand markets).
- Wood : To cut in the field, pieces of old furniture
(chair or table leg).
- Anvil Stand :
Section of tree trunk (to be seen with a gamekeeper or loggers).
- Various tools :
Tongs and hammers in secondhand markets.
- Steel : Comes
out from shock absorber, spring leaves, old files (XC100), chain of
slicer, cables (any steel, without plasticized heart).
- Compressed air truck tank : See with a garage for
heavy lorries.
- Leather : Old settees (attention with the imitations).
- Small compressor (e.g. for vacuum pump): Refrigerator
in the unwanted junk.
- Engine :
Washing machine (engine from 500 to 800W) at the unwanted junk.
- Tools for Dremel :
Your dentist throws his cutters regularly. He will certainly give you them with pleasure.
Where you can get
Many places are favourable to recovery, since you have a little time and the exerted eye!
At random:
- Secondhand markets :
To prefer the small secondhand markets where people get rid of useless items rather than large ones
where professionals (antique dealers) come to earn their living.
- Unwanted junk : To
Phone the town hall to have the dates. You will find much domestic machines
(vacuum cleaner, refrigerator, washing machine, oven), and old pieces of
furniture (wood, leather).
- Scrap cans of the garages : Think to ask
the authorization to go to excavate! You can get springs of shock absorber, compressed air truck
tank (for support of forge earth, water can, quenching can).
- Scrap merchants :
They often have real treasures, but they know the prices!
The ideal is to locate a good one and to become a regular customer.
- Heating specialist :
For the blowers of boilers. They often have some of them in stock.
- Field : Nature
is a great source of raw materials but it should be respected!
Therefore, no abusive or wild taking. You can find there wood, clay, sand
(silicia not calcareous), sandstone for honing.
